Capitol Reef National Park

This trip we wanted to finish the Utah Mighty 5. The Mighty 5 refers to the 5 National Parks in Utah. We had visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks but wanted to see the remaining 3. Capitol Reef is somewhat rural so we had most of the park to ourselves.

Capitol Gorge, a stunning slot canyon in Capitol Reef National Park. It’s known for its towering sandstone walls, narrow passageways, and historic features like the Pioneer Register—where early travelers carved their names into the rock.

While we were in the area we found some spots that were just as amazing as Capitol Reef. The locals drew us a map of some additional sights and we are so glad they did. Sites that are just out of this world.
