Celebrate Goodness – Vegas Baby!!

We traveled to the desert of Lake Mead and Las Vegas to celebrate birthdays and Father’s Day. My dad flew in to spend his birthday month with us and also Father’s Day

We took a cruise on Lake Mead and enjoyed swimming in the water and the beautiful scenery.

We also took the boat to the Hoover Dam to view it from the water.

While we were swimming in a little cove, my dad spotted these Big Horn Sheep.

My dad flew back home and our friends Mike and Julie flew in to celebrate Scott and Mike’s 50th birthdays.

Celebrating Scott’s 50th at the Wynn buffet. We ate our money’s worth. YUM!!!

An evening walk along the Las Vegas Strip

Yes, this is beer pong. You can play it on the strip. It’s not just for college anymore.

Getting back to nature next at Yosemite National Park.

  1. Awesome time, with awesome friends. I hope you are finally cooling down too 🙂 Safe travels!

    1. Had a lovely time with you and Mike. We are looking forward to the next time we get together whenever that might be. It is cooler here in Coarsegold, CA, but would prefer it a touch colder. Have a wonderful summer!!

  2. that was great to have your dad and friends meet you for their special occasions. The photos are great as usual.
You did get some great photos of Vegas with all the lights. My friend, Sandra, who worked at Barmore with me,
and I are going to Vegas in about two weeks. We are planning to drive from Durango to Vegas for a few days.
Looking forward to the trip. However, I do look forward to when Ed can travel with me to Durango. Hope next year we will be there for the summer.. It is so HOT here. He could not go this year due to the altitude and his breathing problems. Safe travels.

    1. Hi Sue. I was just thinking about you and Ed. Sounds like Ed is making progress on his recovery. Good luck in Vegas. Hope you win it BIG!! Take care.
