Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs is America’s only mountainside zoo with an elevation of 6,800 feet above sea level. We got our exercise walking around here.

Scott and I love the zoo, maybe because it brings out our inner children?? This is a really hands on zoo with lots of exhibits and events.

I am so glad you took the time to visit the zoo in Colorado Springs. The giraffe is one of my favorite animals and it was so
wonderful to be at eye level with them. Yes it is a lot of up and down walking but the best zoo I have ever visited because
there is so much interaction and wonderful exhibits . Keep on having fun. We are going to Gunnison CO on August 6th
staying in a cabin at Mesa campground. We will be there 4 days and looking very forward to the trip.
